Meet your therapist

Hey there, I'm Annalise John. You've somehow stumbled into my corner of the internet. Congrats, you're officially one step closer to figuring out... well, some of life's messier bits. I specialize in helping you – yes, you, the young woman who's juggling Anxiety, ADHD, or just trying to ride the rollercoaster of life without screaming too loudly.

So, who am I? Picture your non-typical therapist mixed with a bit of life coach, seasoned with a pinch of 'been-there-done-that' wisdom. I’ve got a Masters of Social Work from The University of Utah, and yes, I’m a proud LCSW. But more importantly, I'm your go-to person for navigating the maze of young adulthood – from crushing self-doubt to decoding what your dreams are actually trying to tell you (spoiler: it's not just about showing up to school in your underwear).

Therapy with me isn't a one-size-fits-all deal. I mean, let’s be real – when has anything in life ever been that simple? My toolbox is packed with stuff like Synergetic Play Therapy (not just for kids, trust me), Somatic Experiencing, and the Emotional Freedom Technique. Plus, I'm big on Internal Family Systems – it's like hosting a family reunion in your head, minus the awkward small talk.

And about those dreams – we’re not ignoring them. Whether it's the wacky, the scary, or the downright bizarre, your dreams are like the gossip magazines of your subconscious, spilling the tea on what’s really going on with you. We’ll dissect them in therapy, or if you’re not up for the whole therapy shebang, hit me up for a dream consultation. It’s like a test drive for your subconscious.

To all the young women out there trying to make sense of it all, I get it. Life throws curveballs, and sometimes they hit you right in the feels. But here’s the deal: you’re not tackling this alone. Think of me as that brutally honest, slightly sarcastic therapist who’s got your back.

Ready to start? Drop me a line, and let's chat. Remember, admitting you might need a hand is not just brave, it’s downright rebellious. And I’m all for a bit of rebellion.

Catch you soon,

Annalise John

  • If your insurance provider is not on the above list, you can still work with me! Contact your carrier and ask about your out-of- network benefits. We provide super-bills to all client’s with out-of-network coverage.

    What is a superbill?

A superbill is a detailed invoice outlining the services a client received. Therapists may need to generate a superbill when they are not on a client’s insurance company’s panel. The client submits the superbill directly to the insurer, giving the insurer all the information they need to pay the claim.

Prospective clients are expected to contact their insurance provider to confirm mental health benefits and to ensure our clinic is in network with your plan. Session costs will go toward the deductible on your plan for in-network insurance coverage when applicable. It is helpful to ask your insurance carrier what your deductible, copay and/or coinsurance amount(s) will be for outpatient mental health therapy.

When calling your provider to inquire about coverage follow these steps:

    • Locate your insurance company’s phone number on the back of your insurance card

    • Once connected with a representative it is helpful to ask what your deductible, copay and/or coinsurance amount(s) will be for outpatient mental health therapy.

We understand that insurance can be confusing! Please reach out with any questions.
