Finding Your Voice Again (Even When It Feels Uncomfortable)
We were taught to bend.
To soften our edges.
To be agreeable, to keep the peace.
And for a while, it worked. People were comfortable. We were praised for being “easygoing,” “nice,” and “not too much.”
But somewhere along the way, we started to lose touch with ourselves.
Unlearning that shape-shifting is no small feat. Reclaiming your voice—your real voice—can feel raw and vulnerable. Like standing bare in a storm, unsure whether to brace yourself or let it all hit you.
Especially when the people around you don’t like the change.
Suddenly, guilt shows up. Shame creeps in. And they’re loud. Sometimes louder than your truth.
But that doesn’t mean your truth isn’t worth speaking. It just means you’re healing.
Keep going. You’re not too much. You’re just becoming you again.
With love,
Annalise
